Son's Story
Life
Here is a brief recap of life after high school:
Went to Texas A&M University - Had a rough time adjusting.
Blew a 3 year Army ROTC Scholarship and a 2 year university scholarship.
Moved back in with the folks for about 6 months - tried community college (both no good).
Went "wild". Partied like a Rock Star.
Realized I was heading in the wrong direction and enlisted in the Army as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP)Specialist.
Got married and divorced (rather quickly).
Concentrated on my military career and did quite well.
Jumped out of planes, rappelled out of helicopters, became a Jump Master, traveled to South & Central America, Africa and the Caribbean.
Before giving up on women, I found the woman of my dreams (April).
Focused changed from the...Expand for more
Army and towards family life.
My hectic deployment schedule wasn't conducive to long term relationships and decided to leave active duty service.
Moved to Cali and married my dream woman.
Working in the financial industry since 1999.
Now....Got a house in the "burbs" of San Diego, 2 Labradors and doing well.
Military
Good times, bad times, but always true friends that shared in it all. My military experiences helped mold me into who I am today. I was able to overcome some incredible challenges with the help of family and friends. The Army has provided me with opportunities, memories and adventures that I couldn't experience without taking the plunge. I keep in touch with a few people, but there are some out there I would like to find. Drop me a line!
