Sonia's Story
Life
Following graduation from Resurrection I attended U of I downstate and then went onto medical school at SIU in Springfield following a brief 2 years in the workforce. I graduated medical school in 1994, and moved back to Chicago for my residency in Emergency Medicine. At the end of my training I began dating my husband who had been a friend of mine during residency. He also is an Emergency Medicine physician. We were married in 1998 and since that time we have had 3 children and 4 houses...it seems everytime I have a baby we need to move. of settling in Clarendon Hills Il (we are excited) leaving Elmhurst (which we love). It has been a busy time.
I would say the biggest accomplishment in my life was completing my medical training, however that is tied with motherhood and motherhood is SO hard that I refuse to call it an accomplishment. I am referring to parenting as a "work in progress". The biggest suprise in my life was my third pregnancy. My baby is only 2 1/2 months old now and she was very unexpected. Actually, me as mother of three is a complete suprise to me - but very fun and challenging. We are very blessed overall.
