Sonja's Story
Hi,
I left Madera when I iwas 18 years old and went to Highland School of Nursing and after graduation I moved to San Francisco. I have lived in the SF Bay area since..
I did live in New York for 2 years while my husband was in grad school at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. We lived in The Big Apple during the summer between school years. I loved, and still love, New York City but I like living in Marin. I live across the Golden Gate bridge in Tiburon. My husband and I love sailing and we raced one design in SF Bay, winning the season's championship in our class one year. We like cruising also and have cruised down the Pacific coast to Mexico. We also cruised in Mexico as well. We are fortunate to dock our 36 foot French made sailboat ( a Jeanneau) behind our house. Her name is "French Toast"and I don't mean food!! The Mexican's had a little problem with the translation.
I continued working as a RN at Marin General Hospital while I got a BA in Health Services Administration from ST. Mary's University. That degree opened doors for me in ot...Expand for more
her parts of nursing-Case Management and Education.
No kids but we have an adorable Poovanese-Teddy is his name and he weitghs 9.5 lbs. He is a mix of poodle and Havanese-adorable personality and he loves everybody.
I posted pictures of him.
I am retired now and I miss my patients but not the hard work.
We bought a condo in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico so I plan to spend a lot of time there. I love PV!!!
I have been married once and still married to the same person--boring-Ha!
I still have my sense of humor.
I discovered that I can write poems, not very well, but okay. I have fun writing them.
My latest is a Christmas poem:
Merry Christmas to you
Happy New Year, too.
Have the best year yet,
One you won¿t forget.
.
Remember life is a rare gem
Waiting to be discovered
By you to love like no other.
Don¿t put your dreams away
During the chores of the day
¿Cause this could be the year
That you may revere
As one of the best,
Better than all the rest!
Love,
Sonja, Fred, and Teddy
