Life
I HAVE TWO SONS, LIVE IN LOUISIANA.THEY TAKE UP ANY SPARE TIME. CURRENTLY BREED STRAIGHT EGYPTIANS ARABIANS, EGYPTIAN RELATED AS WELL AS PAINTS AND ARABIAN/PAINT CROSSES. I HAVE 12 HORSES, I'VE ENJOYED NOT WORKING OUTSIDE THE HOME. MY SONS, JUSTIN and JAMIE, HORSES, AND THE MANAGERIE OF ANIMALS I OWN AND CARE FOR CONSUME ALL OF MY TIME. I MARRIED IN 1986, HAVE BEEN LIVING IN LOUISIANA SINCE THEN. I VISITED VERMILION IN JUNE OF 2005, THINGS HAVE CHANGED. WOULD NOT MOVE BACK...IT IS TOO COLD and TOO MANY GOTHS. I'M ONLY 45 MINUTES FROM NEW ORLEANS AND HAVE ENJOYED MARDI GRAS BUT AS WITH ALLOT OF THINGS IT DOES GET OLD. A SPECIAL NOTE TO BOBBIE, SHERRIE, CHRIS AND LORI...THANKS FOR THE GREAT TIME, THE BOYS AND I ENJOYED OUR VISIT VERY MUCH! IT WAS GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN JENNIFER!
I survived Hurricane KATRINA! I am currently selling the last two Quarter horses, one of them being a 'Hollywood Dun It' grandson. A Sorrel AQHA, reining mare by Smart Colonel. If anyone who visits me is interested, please drop me a line. Change in family dynamics so need to sell, my loss could be your gain!! CHEROKEE RANCH was established in 1998. I am expanding quickly in my Arabian herd and liquidating all of the Quarter horses.
Hurricane Katrina really set us back as far as growth..barn repairs and fencing. Most of which still needs repairs and built. Currently I have two stallions, both Straight Egyptains, Cherokees Tornado & Cherokees Lodestar both AHA, Pyramid Society, Al Khamsa registries. They are Blue List Stallions. Both Stallions are young and 2008 will be their first breeding year, so the first foals will be 2009 babies. Cherokees Tornado, due to severe injuries will never be shown. Two Cherokee Horses were asked to join the parade of horses at the Polo Classic held in Folsom, La in May & October 2007... soo we have much to prepare for by that time. An update as to Cherokees Tornado's sire, Gatsby CC, He garnered the title of Reserve Champion Senior Stallion in the European Egyptain Event in 2006 and Gatsby was also listed in the Arabian Horse Times research as a Leading Juvenile Sire of all bloodlines for 2006. Gatsby CC has to speak for Tornado and soon so will his progeny.
