Spencer's Story
Joined the Army the week JFK died. Had a great 3 years, working first in a
nuclear medicine clinic, then did a year in SE Asia running the Army's
weak ass STD program in southern Thailand.
One of my guys from that time remembered me as a beatnik !? ;0)
Lived an adventurous life until age 35. No bucket list for me.
Fell in love twice. Never married. Was a rock photographer, then filmmaker,
had a 50's band in the late sixties til about '77.
Then started a cool print shop using 100 year old gear.
Fell in love again in '84, but it fizzled in a few years.
She and I met again last year. We are loving friends.
Became a PBS TV producer, then began teaching Spirituality in tr...Expand for more
eatment centers,
In '95 established a charter school based training center for outsider kids. HARD work
and rewarding. It was called the City store. I worked with 6 police departments,
and it was like a dream come true.
Along the way I had a serious skiing accident in '91 and a disastrous car accident in
2001. Retired some years ago.
All of this drama brought me to a pretty good place spiritually.
Have searched for my first love, Janet Ann Bauer for years. We met when we were
five, and she was my girl next door until we were 15.
Now I'm cruising
My brother Vern and I are best friends.
Shook off the workaholic life and retired 10 years ago.
Still live in South Minneapolis.
