About me: I am always kind and honest, even when it's not popular. I am not perfect, but I am genuine. I am very positive, and I try to lift the mood of others.
I am a retired Police Lieutenant, spending 24 years at Savanna Police Department. I am currently a sworn Illinois Law Enforcement Officer, and I still work part time for Savanna P.D.
I started career #2 in January 2010. I'm a Security Manager for Exelon, in Cordova, IL. I like it, there's a lot of diversity to the job, a lot of responsibility. I've met a lot of really good people. It's a good fit.

en less than good to me. I believe strongly in Karma. I've seen it too many times NOT to. I lead by example, and I am always kind to everyone. After 26 years of Law Enforcement, I have learned that it is NEVER a mistake to be kind. Never.
I've got 2 amazing children, Avery Michelle, 20 years old and heading back for her Junior year of college. Full time student, Manager/lifeguard at the Mt. Carroll Pool, she also works at the Mt. Carroll bowling alleyfor extra cash in her spare time. She makes me so proud. And my 16year-old son Alex is a high school Junior. He works at the bowling alley in Mt. Carroll and he is a national champion competition trap shooter. He recently competed nationally, placing second in the nation for his age group. Dang! So proud!
And, come December, I am awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild. Miss Avery is expecting. Although I am FAR FAR too young for grandparenting, I am delighted as God blesses our famly with this beautiful little soul. : )

So what am I up to? I am setting high standards. I am pushing people out of their comfy little boxes. I am holding their gaze and not backing down. I'm challenging the status quo. I am not settling for mediocre. I am raising the bar. Life is fleeting. I don't have time to waste. I want the best for all of us. I plan to touch some lives, share some laughs and leave some smiles in my wake before I "hit the high road". I will see you there.".
