Stacey's Story
Life
I am married to fellow alumni Terry Town and have been for 18 years. We live in Dryden with our two kids Natalie 14 and Benjamin 6. I graduated from MSU and Terry was in the Air Force for 4 years. We lived in Sicily for over a year while he was in Air Force. A year after Natalie was born I was diagnosed with leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant in 1996. I met my donor in 2003 while visiting Mary Orndorff in Wash. DC. It has been over 11 years and I feel great. I am an Advertising and Marketing Director for Grondin's Hair Centers which has 60 locations now in Michigan. Terry is the Retail Sales Manager there and we are partners in two salons. nging, her friends and basketball and Ben is in first grade. Terry is a bass tournament fisherman, loves to golf and plays hockey. I am an independent distributor for Xango a wonderful new health beverage. I am very involved in PTA, V. Pres of the St. Cornelius Altar Society, fundraising, coaching basketball, a member of the Ladies Veterans Auxiliary, and volunteers my time to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and American Cancer Society. I love to teach aerobics, walk, travel and scrapbooking. Most of all spending time with her kids. Recently this past Dec. 07 I lost my mother to a rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma. She battled this cancer for a year. I miss her very much and I started a fund in her name with the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation called the Lovediane LMS Memorial Fund.
