I attended grade school through high school in the small town of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. I knew early on in school that I had an interest in creativity, color and anything art. Wanting to impose my understudied skills upon the planet I sought someone who I could learn from. In an incredible bout of luck I met Don Poole a Past-Master Ceramist/ Potter. ur years past my push to leave high school was complete.
Shortly after I started work to complete a bachelors in fine art at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. While laboring towards my degree focusing my attention more towards printmaking, I attended several workshops at various studios such as: Los Milogros Print Studio, [Artspace] at Untitled, and the Aryes Ranch; where I had a chance to work with Indrani Gall student of Kieth Howard. I completed my bachelor degree studies in December of 2006. From 2009- 2011, I worked as the print studio manager/ instructor for the [Press] at Untitled located in the loft upstairs at [Artspace] at Untitled in downtown Oklahoma City, OK. Working for the [Press] offered me the chance to work with various local, national, and international artists in the print studio. Currently I am working on three different series...two series of prints and a painting series with a focus of hummingbirds. My monotype print series, "Evanescence,â opened at the Oklahoma State Capitol in May 2011. That same year I also was awarded the Paseo Arts Association Oklahoma Artist of the Year Award.".
