Stacie's Story
Life
After graduating Mountain Pointe, I ventured up north to attend Northern Arizona University. I graduated with a degree in English Education with minors in music and studio arts. While at NAU, I was a member of Shrine of the Ages choir and I participated in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Flagstaff program.
During my freshman year of college, my neighbor Margie set me up on a blind date. David and I have been dating ever since and have now been married for almost five years! We don't have any children yet, but...Expand for more
we have pets to make up for it: two dogs, four cats, a tortoise, a frog, and some fish. :)
I currently teach American literature at Desert Ridge High School. I also coach the Desert Ridge Academic Decathlon team, and am the sponsor for the Senior Class Council and GLASS (gay, lesbian, and straight supporters). This year I pursued my National Board Certification--I recently submitted by portfolio and am anxiously awaiting my results. I am continuing to work on my M.B.A in Accounting through the University of Phoenix.
