Stacy's Story
Life
I am married (for 9 years) and have two little kids. My babies were born in December 2003 and May 2005 (17 months apart). We have one kitty that was a stray, and we try to keep the kids from mauling her. My hobbies are my kids, photography, sewing, blogging and scrapbooking.
School
Hmmm...school. Well, not the best years of my life, definitely. I don't know how others saw me, but I think I was a shy, studious individual. I made good grades and wasn't overly outgoing. I didn't have a ton of friends, didn't hardly date and rarely did much outside of school with classmates. My sport during school was rodeo, so I never competed in any other sports...nor did I really want to. It's all kind of fuzzy now...I can't believe its been almost 15 years. College
After high school I went to UW-Eau Claire, primarily because it was the cheapest route and had a good Accounting program. I lived at home during college so I didn't have much of a college life, especially since I was always working at least one job and going to school full-time. I graduated in 4.5 years with Cum Laude.
Workplace
After college I landed at one of the "Big 5" (at the time) accounting firms and worked there for about 4 years. I was then offered a job by a former co-worker at a venture capital firm. I am still working at the firm, which is very family friendly. Not much room for advancement, but the pay and benefits are good enough that I don't really need to think about that. After having kids your priorities change.
