College
Did most of my degree online after leaving the Army. Nothing special to note.
Military
Spent 14 years on Active Duty in the Army. Loved some parts dispised other parts. But the experience and what I learned are so much more than I ever expected. Traveled much of the world, and mind you not all were lovely places. But to see the good and bad was a true experience to live within for life.
Some bonds I made are life long.
I did 3 tours in Germany which was nice, although I am one of those who say, "seen one castle seem em all". ...Expand for more
Nice to visit but wouldnt want to live.
Did a few spots here in the US, LA., TX., DC., SC., and I ended my career here in DC. This was the place to get the job I was trained for with some ease.
I had gone thru a bout of cancer in 1999 and declined to be medically discharged, so I hung on and when the time came in 2000 to re-enlist or go my way, well I chose to do the same job or close to on the civilian side. I feel I made a good choice and outside the tight nit bond which goes on in the Military, that is the only thing I truely miss.
