Stacy's Story

Life Life has changed a lot since the "Granada Days." I moved out of my parents' house the morning after graduation and into a condo in Huntington Beach. Ahhhhh, the carefree days! I jet skied, worked at a boat rental facility in the marina and began college. I studied at Chapman University where I earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree (in Film and TV). After graduation, I began working freelance as an industrial video producer and copywriter. I moved on to retail advertising and began producing local advertising and finally, I ended up at a much larger ad agengy working on national ad campaigns in both creative as well as account management. I also married a great guy. We settled down in Irvine, CA and decided to start a family a few years later. After my first son was born in '99, my husband and I decided that I would quit my job to be a full-time mom -- that turned out to be the best decisions we could of made! In 2001, we were blessed with another beautiful boy and in Feb. '05, we had our little girl! Final score = 3! Choosing to raise my kids over keeping my career has taught me a lot. e patient, and to appreciate the little things -- I mean the important things in life. I am grateful for this time with my children. I am busier now than I ever was in the faced-paced advertising world! Aside from volunteering at the elementary school and running around ragged with my kids nonstop, I also volunteer in my community by fundraising and helping at a variety of local and national charities. Working closely with the Ronald McDonald House has been one the most rewarding for me. Other hobbies and interests of mine include; both still and video photography, editing, watersports, gardening, interior design, and playing ball with my boys -- they definitely bring out the "tomboy" in me :). Eventually, when my kids are older, I will most likely return to my career in creative, but for now I'm where I want to be. I'm still really close with many of my friends from high school (ie: Giselle, Melinda, & Laura). I miss the old days, but I am very grateful to have the great memories and friends. I hope to reconnect with other friends that I've lost touch with as well. It would be great to know how everyone is doing.
