Stacy's Story

Life After graduation I spent one year at the Univ. of North Texas before transferring to Texas A&M. I graduated in 1981 with a B.S. in Secondary Education and a double minor in English and History. I taught junior high for 8 years before leaving the teaching profession to have kids and segue into free-lance writing. I currently review books for newspapers and do a little side work selling handmade art. Workplace I was an English teacher from the time I graduated from A&M ( Dec...Expand for more
ember 1981) until 1989. I left teaching to become a free-lance writer for newspapers and be a more hands-on parent to our three sons. I still write occasionally, but presently make my money designing ornaments from vintage materials and painting furniture. I've been married for 20 years to a wonderful guy(Bryan). We have three sons: Greyson is a senior at Fort Worth's Paschal HS and will attend Texas A&M in the Fall of 2007, Tucker is a junior at Paschal, and Wilder is a 7th grader.
