Stamie's Story

Life In June 1967 I married classmate,David Delk. We were divorced in November 1968. The same month our son, Christopher was born. I remarried and three more children were born in the next four years Robin, Phillip and Shelley. After 36 years of marriage, I again became single on May 6, 2005. And I haven't looked back ! Now a grandmother of 9 perfect grandchildren ,I have every reason to be happy. Being single and having time to do what I have always wanted to do is exciting. I have finally had a chance to actually go on a vacation !My wonderful children are so good to me. I am blessed beyond words. I am finally able to get to be with friends and enjoy life. And recently I have renewed my passion for dancing !!! Every day is an adventure. I am looking forward to the many new people and experiences ahead of me. Hearing from classmates and where the road of life has taken them is a great pleasure for me !. At the present time, I am working in the transmission control area for the Robert Bosch Corp. I belong to the local quilt guild and still sew alot ! On Sunday you will find me at Newspring Community church where I am a greeter for the 9:30 service. It is an awesome church ! , is an artist and will soon have a website up and running to show his work. He works mainly in charcoal and graphite. He has my two oldest and 2 youngest grandchildren. Michael,Jessica,Braedon and Ian. He also works as a lead tech. and resides in Thomasville,Ga.with my daughter in law Jacquie. Robin is a full time mother of three and lives in Anderson,S.C. Amber,Lauren and Russell Phillip is also a tech . He has now finished school and resides in Piedmont,S.C. with his wife ,Amber Nicole and sons, Christopher and baby Phillip. Shelley recently transfered to Dunn, N.C. with her job. She is a nursing home administrator. Update: Shelley and Travis were married in November 2006. I reside in Anderson, S.C. I enjoy living in town and being so close to everything. We have a beautiful town with alot to do. Being near the mountains and the beach makes travel easy. And speaking of mountains, I love to ride motorcycles ! Especially up through the mountains ! It is awesome and my favorite place to ride. Classmates has made it possible for me to be reunited with several friends and classmates ! Some I had been trying to find for well over 30 years. I will be looking forward to hearing from more over the years !
