Stan's Story
I got drafted out of HS and served two years in the Army Military Police Corps with one year+ in Vietnam. After my tour in the service I dated and married my long time friend Joanne LaFleur, from HS. I’ve actually known her since the 4th grade. Our 50 year wedding anniversary is this year (2022). It’s been said the first 50 years of marriage are toughest, can’t say that I agree. We have four wonderful kids (three attorneys and a businesswoman) that we are very proud of and close to, in every sense, and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
I graduated from Duke University with a degree as a Physician Assistant in Pathology. After three years in that field I became a Rhythm Specialist for 2 Fortune 500 companies that manufactured a...Expand for more
nd sold cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators. There I trained physicians, on our proprietary algorithms, then assisted them in implanting these devices and managing patients for 35 years.
So that’s it! I’ve done my best with my life with some lumps, bruises and regrets but I’m still standing, although slowly! I love my wife and family and hope that I can continue to be a good person, make good decisions and take all the right supplements to enjoy my remaining years. lol
Isn’t it amazing, the impact of high school when reflecting on ones life? I regret that I didn’t take advantage of that time to meet more of you. Oh, the memories! Yes… no?
