Standlee's Story
Life
Time really flies when one is having fun! I have been a high school shop teacher in Brawley California since 1994, teaching drafting and electronics courses at my day job. (I tried elementary school for a couple of years...yuck!) Before that, I spent a few years in the Navy fixing airplanes...for 21 years, retiring in 1991. Of late, as a result of the high cost of living in SoCal, I have been moonlighting as adjunct faculty at Imperial Valley College teaching residential electrical wiring courses three or four nights a week.
I have been married for thirty some-odd years, have three kids and three grandchildren. Sherry and I have lived in El Centro California for the past thirteen years. Before that, we were in San Diego, Honolulu, Jacksonville, and a bunch of little places along the way.

Navy, didn't work out. Finally got my bachelors degree 23 years later, then on for a masters, a couple of teaching credentials, and stuff like that. I just earned my PhD, and have been a member of AARP (and a few other old-people organizations).
My dad and stepmom still live in Ada, and we try to get back there about once a year to see family. My inlaws and outlaws live in Stratford and our youngest daughter is a Senior (finally) at ECU. She has change majors several times, and is currently working on a degree in social work or something.
Reality stuff include: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, aches, pains, no-line bifocals, and grey hair (at least I still have it). Good health and good fortune not withstanding, we are excited about the upcoming 40th reunion and are really looking forward to seeing everyone.
