Stanley's Story
BHS Sept. 1963 - June 1967.
After high school, I went to college to be a biology student, but I discovered a world very different than my family's little farm and my little high school. The world beyond Bloomington High, taught politics, culture, philosophy, and sometimes war. I became less naive and less innocent. Often, I thought it aught to have been different.
I graduated from Cal-Poly as a Computer Science/Management Information Systems major. It was somewhat of a surprise to me too. Life was good and work was fun. A special woman, very smart (top of...Expand for more
her class), very beautiful, and a lot of fun to be with, agreed to marry me. We were married from 1980-1990, and blessed in many ways, but not with children, unfortunately.
I have lived in Ventura County, California, since Aug. 1980. It is a pleasant place with a temperate climate. I recommend it.
Now, it seems that I'm annually losing vision, hearing, hair, and my slender High School figure, but I'm still barely recognizable, if you look closely and know who I was.
My memory is, . . . well, you know. I like old memories, and 1963-67 qualifies.
