Stanley's Story
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
The other day I was considering how fortunate I was throughout my life.
While things may not have developed as planned, my life has been what I consider to be interesting.
Particularly since I've lost count of all the times I woulda/coulda/ shoulda have died. Just before the Covid virus I was resuscitated at least 3 times and used 24 units of blood. Well, at least I use to make blood donations years ago.
Over the years, did the usual.
Got married. Married a girl from the country of Peru.
Worked as a teacher. (Plenty of corruption within that profession).
Worked in the oil industry.
Worked in the steel industry.
Worked in digital communications and networking.
Had kids. Three of them. Two boys and a girl.
And now have seven grandchildren.
Moved to Florida about 12 years ago and eventually wound up do crane safety inspections. This allowed me to travel internationally and frequently stayed at...Expand for more
well known resorts for security purposes. It certainly didn't hurt that the bar tab was frequently covered by the customer.
The only down side to the travel was acquiring a exotic illness in the jungles of Ghana. It seems that even multiple exotic disease specialist couldn't figure out what was happening. This turned out to be a situation where the cure was worst that the problem. As the "cure" left me with permanent disabilities.
But I can't complain. Through the years I've done things many people could only imagine.
As we go through life, we frequently overlook how wonderful our lives have been because of our experiences.
May God bless you all.
P.S. Zygmond is my adopted name. My birth name is Stanley Woznicki.
I can be found on FB using my birth name or Stan Woznicki. Eldest son's various employers have a tendency to monitor his activities online and asked I not complicate things for him. I'm not exactly known for my political corectness. lol
