Stefani's Story
Hmmmm? So who is Stefani Shultz? Sometimes I'm not sure, but I do know that the older I get the wiser I become. I have a beautiful daughter, Avery, who is not only a joy, but my most precious achievement. She just turned 13, and is the best dancer for her age I have ever seen. Competitive dancer since she was 5. She is now dancing at the Dallas PowerHouse of Dance and will audition for Booker T Washington, the arts Magnet High School in Downtown Dallas next year. Avery has so many trophies I need to get my dad to make a shelf that goes all around her room and it still would not be enough room.
I owned a boutique in downtown Dallas, Crimson in the City. I opened the store in July of 2005. Although the it has been a real challenge over the past 2 years, the current economic situation has made it near impossible to stay in business. I am extremely passionate about the revitalization of Downtown Dallas. Of all the major metropolitan areas, Dallas should have a vibrant downtown as NYC, Chicago and the newly renovated downtown Houston. What I do know is I have worked very hard, not only making Crimson a success but being involved in assisting the city in making this dream a reality. That is the short version of my journey in business. This revitalization is a process and, in Dallas, it is challenge. I love challenges, TENACIOUS? Yeah, I'm tenacious!
UPDATE 1/6/09: I just closed shop. Yep, tenacious still, but downtown was not where God has me at this time. Still unsure where I am going, but you can still visit my website. More on that later.
Enough about my professional life. There are so many things that I love to do. I have found that painting makes me happy. I lo...Expand for more
ve fashion and definitely do not follow trends of others, I love International designers and am also a huge fan of vintage pieces. A vintage purist will tell you that anything within the past 15 years should be referred to as contemporary. Did you guys know that vintage is defined as an era, so the clothes and accessories from the 70's or 80's fall into that category. Can you believe the clothes we wore during high school are now considered vintage? If you have anything vintage and unique, send me a picture and a description and I would love to give you all the details on your find.
I have no idea how you guys remember me? I know being in drill and an officer, i was not a bad kid. I hope everyone has fond memories of me and if not, please FORGIVE ME. That may have been my twin sister SOPHIE. She is not a nice person! More details on her later.
I have wonderful ways of dealing with the stress in my life, i put my face into a pillow and scream as loud as I can or I throw acrylic paint a canvas and call it a piece of art. But my best method is to take a walk and have a major discussion with god.
So in 10 years I hope to look better than ever and without any type of surgery or chemical products. I am going to get there because someone from the Class of 79 is going to create a fountain of youth pill. You, whoever you are, will become famous and I will be your first customer.
I look forward to reconnecting with my friends from high school. I have truly missed you guys. And look forward to seeing all of you that came for the girls weekend in Dallas a year or so ago. What a fun weekend. Sam Rayburn chicks can party! Love, peace and blessings to all of you. Stefani
