Stella's Story
I am from Washington,N.C., and graduated from P.S. Jones High school, not Jones High school. I am a 1963 graduate of Shaw University, of which I am an active Alum. I attend all Homecomings, and the CIAA, as a matter of fact, I am getting ready for that coming up in Feb. I retired from the Richmond, Va. public Schools in 1999
I visit N.C. often, and Md. where one of my children reside. My two other children (adults) ...Expand for more
live in Va. I love to travel, play cards, sew, bowl, read and dance, and do some acting when the opportunity presents itself. I did for 13 years Amen Corner, James Baldwin, as Sister Margaret, and a few others. I am in several social and civic organizations. I am still playing my Clarinet that I got when I was 11 years old, and am in the Petersburg Symphony. My husband, Paige passed in 2005, and was a Shaw graduate.
