Life
I just learned the news of David Watkins and wow. Who would have thought this soon. My prayers do go to his family and all those who love him.
A couple of years after graduation, I moved to Virginia Beach, Va. Lived there about 10 years, then moved to Kansas.
I attended EMT courses and went to College to become a medical assistant. Worked in an emergency room, and a clinic. After several years of that, got bored and switched to the correctional system. Never a dull moment there. Working with juvies first, then became a Sgt. over adul...Expand for more
ts. Amazing as it may seem, the transition was not that difficult. Most of the juvies ended up in the adult system as well.
I retired a few years ago, due to MS. For the most part I take things day by day.
These days, I do pet rescue. I rehab abused pets, train in several areas, but mostly in handicap for autistic children. I have sent hc pets all over the states, plus I have 4 rescues of my own, from 7 lbs to 110-- : )
I am about to take my first cruise in Feb 08, to the Caribbeans. 8 days, wow. And yes by myself.
