Stephanie's Story
Life
Kids: 3 sons, DJ (Daniel Jacob Cortez) and Cody Cortez. They live with Danny in Kerrville and DJ is now 19 and has graduated from Tivy. Cody (15). I divorced Danny in 1992. I then remarried (hence the Rogers) and had Tyler. He is now 12 and in the 6th grade. Tyler's dad and I went our separate ways also after 8yrs and divorced in 2001. However, we remain friendly. I am now single and have been dating someone steadily for several months.
Education: I now attend U of H main campus and my major is Education. I have 1 semester left before I graduate in the fall of 2007. I will be certified to teach grades pre-K to 4th. I cannot wait.
Work: I have worked as a dispatcher in law enforcement for the past 6 years and received my Peace Officer Certification 2 yrs ago. However, this is not the carreer I want to do for the rest of my life and I will loose my certification in April/06. I recently started working for the City of Houston in the Houston Airport Systems. hool schedule and when I graduate I hope to teach for either Katy ISD, Cy-fair ISD or HISD (Houston Ind. School Dist).
I have been in Houston or around Houston for the past 14yrs. During that time I lived in Bellville for 5 yrs (98-2002). When I started college at U of H is when I moved back to the Houston area and I now live in Cy-fair area (near Katy) with Tyler.
Pets: I love animals and if it were up to me I would have a house full. But, that's not possible so I have 2 inside cats named Desi and Lucy, 1 fish tanks, and a Black European hamster named Daisy. We might add a water dragon later on. I haven't made up my mind yet.
Well, that's all for me. I was hoping to be able to reconnect with some of ya'll at a high school reunion but I never knew there was one the first time and the second reunion that was planned got cancelled. So, email me. I am a busy person, but I will eventually respond and I would look forward to hearing from any of you guys. I hope life has treated you all good and that the future holds good things for you.
