You know what? I am using this box to serve as a little therapy for myself. I sit her and think back on my life when some of you knew me and I realize that I had the poorest, poorest self-esteem a person could have. My self-defeating actions provided plenty evidence of that. I never felt I measured up and was always trying hard to do that, seeking approval from those who should have not mattered to that degree. Then you have some folks that were simply haters! You know I was in dire straits and they were reveling in what they perceived to be my defeat. All the while this was happening, I was laughing and crying to myself as I realized that these folks who thought they had it going-on, really had NO CLUE! That perceived "defeat" was the beginning of my "100th and final chance" and I promise I haven't looked back! One young lady (and I use the term extremely loosely)(a former Byrd classmate) really took pleasure exploiting my "defeat" and I want to thank that homegirl for being one of those who helped me change my life.
