Stephanie's Story
As anyone reading this may remember, the highlight of my high school years was music, as well as having Mr. Coutelenc for both my teacher and mentor. My best friend was Darlene Anderson (a year ahead of me), and my only serious boyfriend was Steve, who I'm guessing is a minister somewhere by this time.
I'm a teacher in Katy, TX. I teach 8th grade Resource Reading and English, and also co-teach in 7th and 8th grade classes. I am beginning my 15th year with KISD and have loved it. Kids are great and challenges abound.
I have twins, a boy and a girl, who are now 28!! My son has a little boy who is the light of our lives (it's wonderful being a grandparent, too!!!). Summers are spent with family as much as possible :)

I love to be outside, and especially love floating the Guadalupe River in Gruene, TX (near San Antonio) or going to Zilker Park in Austin. Both places have water temperatures similar to Northern California.
My love for animals has not diminished and we even have a "pet" (I use the term lightly as he just comes to mooch) possum - the only marsupial in the U.S.A. After researching, it turns out that possums are not rabies carriers, as their body temperature is too low to carry the virus. So the possum (affectionally known as Braveheart) stays until he decides it's time to move on.
One of my favorite memories was having to go and retrieve Darlene's outfit for the Top Twenty concert. Her car didn't have a "reverse" and we went down the wrong road...Darlene, if you're reading this, it's FUNNY now, right?!! Almost rolling off the cliff was NOT funny at the time :)
