Stephanie's Story
Life
My Spouse
We met in the Marines while we were stationed in Italy. He became an Army Blackhawk pilot and has been to Afghanistan twice and Iraq once and has a salad bowl on his chest. He is currently training tofly planes. We are waiting for retirement at this point.
My Kids
I have a son and a daughter who are the lights of my life! My son is a natural born actor and loves the spot light. My daughter is a sports enthusiast and loves to get dirty.
Career
I am currently a accredited financial counselor. I help mainly military families get their finances back on track and save for the future.
School
High school sucked and I couldn't wait to get out. Would I do anything differently, probably not. It all would have sucked anyway. Would I do it all over, not for a million. After high school was/is the best time of my life.
I can't say I was overly inspired by any teacher, not any I remember anyway, so it must not be too memorable...except maybe Mr. Silver, but that was Jr. High. Biggest crush? Hmmmmmm. I did have a friend I had a crush on for years, but I think we can let sleeping dogs...well ya know the rest.
College
I attended college here and there in the military, but didn't really get a chance to go full-time for a while. I finally ...Expand for more
received a BA in Business Admin, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I am working on my Masters.
Military
After graduating high school...I served in Marine Corps intel in South Carolina, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Italy, and Germany. I have never had such a great time. Great people, great parties, awsome work.
I went to boot camp in South Carolina, maybe not so fun. My first school was in Florida, total blast. We played on the beaches every weekend and after classes let out during the week. I was, then, stationed in North Carolina. Not a whole lot going on there. I was sent to Virginia Beach for my next school. Again...playing on the beach all weekend.
I was sent to Italy in support of the Bosnian conflict there. Long hours and hard work, but still time for dance clubs and friends. I took whatever time I could to travel up and down the entire country, by train and car. I took two weeks and went to England, then flew to Germany and took a train back to Italy, passing through most of southern Germany and parts of Austria. I was able to site see in Slovenia as well. Then we had a mini-deployment to Germany and I was able to see it up close and personal. This is were I actually got together with my husband. Wonderful experience, great times!
