Stephanie's Story
Life
Hi Everyone!
A lot has happened since 1982!
In a nutshell...
Got married at 18 and had a baby, Jessica. Got divorced at 20. Went to Charity Hospital X-Ray School in 1985. Graduated in 1987. Worked at Touro for a while. Got remarried to my current husband, John, and had 2 more children, Jillian and Jacob. (The J's are coincidental!) Worked at Methodist, in the Cardiac cath Lab, for 9 years until moving to Marietta, Georgia in 1999.
Currently working at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
I love Georgia. This was a really good move for me and my family.
One of my "proudest" moments has happened here in Georgia. My wonderful daughter, Jessica, has been accepted into medical school! She'll be attending Mercer School of Medicine this summer. I'm so proud I could pop!
And...thank God I was here for Katrina! 26 of my closest relatives stayed with me for almost a month. My father and uncle are still with me.
I must admit, I have been worried sick about...well, everybody. It was an awful feeling watching our city "drown". I sat glued to CNN for weeks. I checked the satellite images of every place I ever went to growing up. Places where we all hung out together!
I cried a lot. I still cry.
I do love Geor...Expand for more
gia and I don't regret moving but New Orleans is home, and who doesn't love going home?
Send me a message to let me know that you're ok...I'd love to hear from y'all.

School
I had a few crushes in high school but I don't know that I should divulge that information here! I will admit that I did have a crush on Mr.Greiner for a while. Don't tell...
I had several teachers that inspired me to do better. My first would be Mrs.Burkert. She wouldn't let me quit school when I was fed up with it. Also, Mr.Taylor, Mr.Edwards, Mr. Gingrich and Coach Costa all left a lasting impression on me. And, of course, Mr.Greiner.
I think I'll take the 5th on crazy times...except for the "Great Warren Easton Walk Out". That was pretty crazy.
I would pay more attention in class if I had to do it all again. I was a little "distracted" when I was 16 years old. I'd be a much better student now.
There were lots of happy times and also lots of times that I wish I could forget. As some of you may know, I dated Arthur Davis and had a minor tiff with some of my fellow classmates as a result of my relationship with him. I regret fighting over a "boy". I wish that I'd had a better relationship with those involved in the "triangle".
