Stephanie's Story
After high school I went to Stephen F. Austin and graduated in 1991. I live in Houston for a few years, and then moved to Dallas. Currently, I am living in North Carolina and I teach reading in an urban middle school. I love my job.

rette Syndrome, and that has given me a lot of opportunities as a volunteer for the Tourette Syndrome Association. I never thought I would be a person that advocated on Capitol Hill for the rights of children with disabilities, but that is something I have spent a lot of time doing. It has been very rewarding.
