WORDS by Africana aka S.A. Walker
Words are powerful
Words speaks volume
Words are explosive
Words are colorful
Words can spawn hatred and fear
Words taste delicious
Words reminds me of aromatherapy
Words can leave you battered and abused leaving no mark visually
Words are a caress on the forearm that stimulates the senses and assures me of what is to come laterâ¦..
Words are as wide as the eye can see
Words are beautiful
My preferences of the usage of Words are: Quality over Quantity, Substance over idiocracy
Words are an extension of ones intellect that expresses how they feelâexpressed in dialogueâ
Africana: Man, you say you love me, yet you continue to stab me in the heart with such harmful words. My spirit has been drained from my body--puddles of rich colors that use to sustain this entityâs existence--you leave me there standing alone as you trample over mY--now--decayed spirit. mmanding Voice and words of Martin Luther King, Jrâs Speech, âI Have a Dreamâ; The Black National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing, which I song every morning after saying the pledge of allegiance while attending Amelia Earhart Elementary School in Chicago; choreographing my own ballet in my head while reciting Maya Angelouâs âPhenomenal Womanâ.
Rejoicing and embracing my 42â wide hips swaying them side to side, I stretch my arms and hands to the heavens as if I was pulling down every blessing that was requested in my prior life. Transitioning to a squatting position while knees pointing to the both East and West hemisphereâsounds of breaking pelvis bones and tearing flesh as if I was giving birth to a New Nation-- my toes grasp the sand beneath my feet as I make sweeping motions. My composure of tighten abs and ass accompanied with an heaved chest and prominent arch in my back arises from the settled dust which I have eloquently departed from as my body takes flight. My extension of my limbs, spirit and soul anticipates the embrace from my man.
See, my words are all I have that solilify my exsistence, continue my relevance, and to leave my past; although, out of place and might seem misconstrued to the audience it also gives them a chance to take one word that they can esponge on and equate that in their writing.
