Stephen's Story
Life
My name is Stephen Aragon but most know me as Joshua or Bo from school.
I graduated class of 1996 at Norwalk High School (went to Lampton, Nazarene, and Calvary Chapel Dwny. prior to) but I wasn't able to attend my graduation ceremony because I was in a coma recovering from a car accident that occured March 9, 1996. The accident left me with severe brain injury as well as a shattered chin, broken jaw, compound fractured right leg, and severed tendons along my left foot.
I have spent the past 10 years in various programs and rehabs. to rebuild my life and gain back some of what was lost at the accident. I'm very determined and have no intentions to give up this fight. It's a long road and it's been frustrating and lonely since most all my old friends have stopped coming around to visit. But my family is a huge part of my encouragement and I also have the Lord in my life to see me through this- however He wants my life to turn out.

wheelchair but not paralyzed. I have been regaining some balance again in pool therapy. I loved to surf and maybe that's why I seem to have greater balance in the water. Someday I hope to return to the waves. In case anyone has wondered, I still remember my life before the the accident, it's what I think about a lot. I remember people who were in my life and all the things I did with my friends. I remember those from Norwalk High too, the teachers and staff. That was the greatest time in my life and I miss it-didn't ever think I'd say that back then!
I'd love to get out on the field and play football again just to get that old feeling back and blow off all this steam! No wife, girlfriend or children yet. Just been focusing on getting my life in order. Didn't think 10 years ago I'd be here now- but then who ever thinks that something like that will happen in a split second of your life?
