Stephen's Story

Life Since graduation I moved to the Los Angeles area. At first I worked as a movie extra by day, while also working as a projectionist in a move theater at night. There were many strikes concerning the royalties over VHS home video sales. So it became nearly impossible to make a living in that industry at that time. I then worked for Bank of America, went to Santa Monica College in the evenings, And drove limos on weekends. Once I received an Associates degree in Business I traveled back to NY for an extended 6-month visit. My Mom moved to Babylon Village and needed lots of help winterizing her cottage. While I was in NY I obtained a real estate sales license and was showin...Expand for more
g houses. I started a few business ventures at that time. One of which was a Video Production Studio. I cashed in my retirement fund from working at the bank and bought my first video camera in NY. Then I moved back to California and took classes at UCLA in Television Production for a year. I have been in self-employed with Stephen’s Video Productions for 20 years now. My little studio is in Agoura Hills on the border of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties Above Malibu and the Santa Monica Mountains. It is a very beautiful area. My home is a 30-foot sailboat in Ventura Harbor just south of Santa Barbara. I learned how to sail about 6 years ago and this is my third sailboat.
