Life
I had a life when I opened this page, but I'm darned if I can remember it. I recall moving to Huntington Beach, being in the army and then college, and then moving to Utah in 1975. I have 5 children, 13 grandsons and one on the way. Still playing banjo with a folk band here lo these past 23 years. Old folkies never die, they just go out of tune. Retired after 30 years with Utah Human Services where I ended my career as an administrative judge.
I live in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the Hayes family seat since 1850 something, with "She Who Must Be Obeyed" (my wife Lisa) and 6 cats, 7 if you count the freeloader that dines with us occasionally. Lisa works for the school district with special needs children. Haven't been to California since 1985 except for a brief few days some years ago when Sander Kebre and I attended a Kingston Trio Concert in Fullerton. I don't miss Californi...Expand for more

Our lives are filled with cats, grandkids, church, work, gardening, terminal landscaping, and evidently Costco -- and trips to Wisconsin where Lisa's family lives. We like old movies, old music, old jeans, and old friends. We live in a great area with good neighbors and a nice view, front and back, on the slope of the Wasatch Mountains. We do have 24 children on our cul-de-sac, however, and I'm willing to pay handsomely for the theft of a certain motorized scooter, if anyone is interested.
Drop me an email if you desperately need to. Or if you don't desperately need to. I met a couple from Reno last year who came here to ski and who had both been teachers at South Gate High. What are the odds? It made me nostalgic for the old school for several minutes together, but I got over it. I'm quite serious about the email. I always read my mail, and sometimes I even answer it.
