Stephen's Story
Life
Life has been good. I may have missed an intersection or two along the way, but the journey has been filled with adventure. My work has taken me many places and with a little luck, this second half of my life will allow me to see the other places on my list.
In the last few years I have been very involved with film as a documentary filmmaker/producer. Currently I'm beginning principal photography on my next major project - a historical look at our old neighborhood. The film is titled: "Lincoln Heights: The Original East Los Angeles". Research for this film has been ongoing for about 3 years now and I'm sure everyone will be really surprised to learn of the many significant historical details that are a part of the neighborhood's past. We'll have a web site for the film online soon and I will post the URL here.

n production on my first narrative film tentatively titled: "Mexican Borders". It's an action/adventure film involving mystery, intrigue and a race to the Mexican border. I began to write this screenplay during a trip to South America a few years ago and decided to bring it back to life a several months ago. We have our lead actors signed up and right now there's lots of logistical work to do before filming begins. More on this later.
I have also kept my deep interest in photography and over the years I've exhibited my work in galleries across the U.S. My last photo essay was shot in March of 2007 and the images will be part of an upcoming photography show which should debut in L.A. later this year.
As I mentioned life is good. I still live alone with my two loco gatos and spend as much time as possible in my backyard with a sketchbook, pen and a laptop close at hand.
