Stephen's Story
Life
I've been in laser optics for over 35 years. I took a few years off, went back to working in R&D but got laid off in Nov 08. I think that I'll retire now. I've got a couple of motorcycles that I enjoy riding all year 'round but I sold my low mileage SVO Mustang last year. I was married for almost 34 years but was widowed in 03. I have two daughters who are both married. My oldest has given me two wonderful grandchildren, a girl and a boy. My youngest is in her last year of college and is expecting her first child.
My partner and I have been together since 2004. We used to breed and show Toy Fox Terriers in both AKC and UKC and we enjoyed it very much but it's time to quit and move on. We've thinned the 'herd' and now only have a few favorite pets.

locating to somewhere else when we retire, possibly in Sonoma County. I was commuting to the San Francisco Bay Area weekly for my job up until I was laid off. I really enjoyed my R&D position and it was very interesting for me. Laser optics and optical thin films have kept my interest and there is always something new in this field.
I haven't been back to Massachusetts in many years and then only for a few days now and then for business in the Boston area. I haven't kept in touch with anyone from CHS as I was only there for my senior year and was only close to a few people. I moved away the day after HS graduation as my father was transferred to upstate New York and then back to California. I went to college in NM. I've lived in CA & CO after I went to college in NM. I'm not a gold member so I can't access anyone who signs the guestbook.
