Stephen's Story
Life
I spent my entire shool years in Bend, Oregon, went to Oregon State where I got a S in Pharmacy and a Master's in Pharmacognosy. I then went to the University of Connecticut where I spent 7 of the happiest years of my life and 7 of the hardest/most painful years(up to that time). Before receiving my PHD in 1969 I began teaching at the School of Pharmacy at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. There I met a woman I fell deeply in love with and married. I also discovered that the academic life was not quite what I had dreamed. ssed on Hosp.Pharmacy.We were divorced in 1983,I came out as a gay male and sobered up with the help of AA. Since that time I have discovered a deep and abiding interest in acting which I have been slowly pursuing. I am a struggling actor but so-far I have resisted being a starving actor! Currently I work as an Agency Pharmacist and have worked in hospitals all over Texas! I have performed in a few professional productions, the largest being as Erroneous in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at aHouston dinner theater, The Great Caruso. I have been studying acting a lot through workshops, etc. and have been focusing on film acting lately. I have an agent, Actor's Etc. in Houston. Much to my surprise, Houston has become my all-time favorite place to live and is "home". I am content with the direction my life is going and grateful for every opportunity that comes along.
