ion. I was also an officer of the B'nai B'rith Hillel Jewish student organization on campus. And I worked as a student employee of the Computer Center Help Desk for a couple of years before I then was hired by a couple of professors in the Computer Science department to work as a student programmer on a government contract for my last couple of years at Clemson. I had an office in the basement of Jordan Hall that I shared with a graduate student.
Military
I enlisted in the US Army July 1987 and separated July 1991. My MOS was 74D (Computer/Machine Operator). My basic training was at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO (Fort Lost-in-the-woods!) My AIT for 74D was at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN. I was at Keesler AFB, MS for about a month after AIT to pick up a T3 additional skill identifier (ASI) for Honeywell/GCOS mainframe computer systems. My entire tour of duty was spent at the European Command headquarters (EUCOM) at Patch Barracks in Vaihingen-Stuttgart, Germany from Nov. 1987 through July 1991.
