Graduated High school and got a job in Malibu and met the girl of my dreams (who I was working with), married her 7 yrs later after I got a good paying job and knew I was ready to commit to raising a family. Learned how to make babies and that Dream Girl birthed a couple of beautiful little girls for us! Moved to Simi Valley when the opportunity presented itself and found life isn't about what you don't have, it is what you do with what you do have. After cookin' and grillin' all my adult life, I started Smokin' and catering in '98. Got fired from my day job, and thanks to a Purpose Driven Life Study I was in at the time, followed the direction of my God given talents and gifting and started Smokin' Steve's Pit BBQ in 2004. 5 years later in the worst possible economy, with the help of my dream girl we open our first BBQ Joint in Simi Valley, CA. I really do love my job, my family and my God (in reverse order thank you)!".
