Steve's Story
Life
I attended UMKC, MU, and Maple Woods for a while, but never finished my degree. I was fortunate enough to get into IT with QT which got me a job working for DeLaval. I worked with Heather Macko and Matt Humbird there for several years. I married my first wife just after starting there, but we divorced a couple years later. In '99 I started traveling to Sweden and Germany for my company. I eventually spent almost ...Expand for more
6 years traveling between KC and Stockholm every month. I didn't want to commit to a drastic change like moving to Sweden and besides, no matter how nice the summers are there the winter is just depressing. I made some great friends in Sweden during that time and had the chance to see other cultures. I left DeLaval in '05 and married again in '06. I have a wonderful wife and stepdaughter now and a job I enjoy here in KC.
