Wow, been ages since I've been back home in Canada. Miss home a lot, and great to see there are still some familiar names (though no faces -- is everyone afraid to post recent pix, heh? )
TIME LINE:
1969-1980: Winnipeg, greatest city on EARTH
1980-1988: Montreal and Toronto
1988-1991: UofT - hated it, hell on earth IMO.
<short stay in Meds, then dropped out>
1991-1995: Ontario Lottery Corp (Data Center)
<short stay in Law, then dropped out>
1995-1998: Overseas job(s) in SE Asia
1998-1999: Consulting work in Toronto
1999-present: Oracle Corporation USA, systems analysis and development (San Fran, LA and Austin)

CURRENT INTEREST(s): been away from Canada for 9+ years and trying to find some way to get back home. Especially now (2008) that the US and Cdn currencies are roughly equivalent in value. Missing the Great White North a lot, though these Yanks are mighty fine people.
ADVICE TO GIVE: don't let your kids spend too much time in UNI being indecisive on academic pursuits. Take it from a former university student who spent too much time in summer and night classes, then wasted weeks in Med and Law schools. All to find out his interests lay in something completely different (IT). I lecture my nieces and nephews about this all the time...
