Steve's Story
Left LCHS at the close of my junior year. Moved to Darien Ct, graduated HS then attended Southern Ct State for 3 years. Quit school to work--takes $$, doesn't it? Moved south. Continued my education (U of Houston) at night while working in the engineering field. Crammed a BA into 9 short years of college, but I don't use it in my vocation. I design chemical plants and refineries at the moment; prior to that I worked at a DOE test facility for the Clean Coal Initiative. Did a few paper mill rebuilds, a couple of Carbon Black facilities. All said, it's been a wonderful ride. Don't think I'd change a thing, except maybe I would like to have learned to sight read music. Hey, that reminds me of a joke. Q: How do you get rid of a guitar player? A: Pull out the sheet music.....
