Steve's Story
After graduation in 1968, I stayed here in Jackson w/ a job I had during my high school days & attended Tech School out at the airport in Jackson. In January of 1969, I started college at Union University. I found out college wasn't for me so I left after two years. In March of 1971, I moved to Memphis for awhile just to get away from Jackson & to see what this world had to offer in a different setting. In July of 1972, I had a great moving spiritual experience w/our Lord Jesus Christ while visiting my brother who was living in Houston, Texas at that time & the Lord Jesus has been the focal point of my life ever since. ockwell manufacturing plant which is north of Jackson....the one that had the big tall water tower out front. I got married at the age of 30 in 1980 & was blessed w/twin boys in June of 1986. Their names are Ben & Brett. Ben lives in Olive Branch, MS. & Brett lives in Hendersonville, TN. They're all grown up & out of the house w/families of their own now.
Funny how 50 years can just fly right by you....right? I'm retired now & still stay in Jackson. Sometimes I get lucky & bump into some old HS friends that I haven't seen in awhile if they can recognize me & point saying "you're that guy from school....gee it's been ages". Life is good & I have no complaints.
