Steve's Story
After High School and then College which included being a tackling dummy for the FCC Rams, I started a discount real estate brokerage business. After a couple of years which included the Iran oil embargo, I went back to school with motivation (compared to previous time). I took pre-med classes with a goal into getting into Chiropratic school. I eventually veered off into Computer Science, my current carreer. I have worked for Dow Chemical, Harris Ranch Beef and my current job of 15+ years wiith State Center Community College District
Since the early 90's I have been racing bicycles. I have been team director of two team including my current team CSC. y issues in Fresno area lower socio-economic schools. Specifically, they work with 4th grade classes putting each student on a school year long consistently monitored program where each child has to meet goals in education, character building and physical activity. Should these goals be met, then that child will receive a new bike, helmet and bike lock. School year ending June 2013, 409 children from 6 schools met there goals and received the bike/helmet/lock..
I also have to small businesses. I coach/train cyclists of all levels by providing individualized training programs. I also put on Bicycle races working with charities and the like to raise money for them. OTF is one such beneficiary. The Selma Police K9 unit is another.
I am married to the Fetching Mrs Grusis. While we have to children, we have lots of dogs.
