Steve's Story
Greetings friends:
I am currently writing this from Mexico. I'm on sabbatical (partially paid leave from my university, and I missed the national championship of our LSU Tigers!), working on coastal restoration. I am happily married with three kids, and work as a teaching and research professor in Louisiana. I lived on the east and west coast, have been to lots of countries and done a few dumb things. Since I have kids, I don't do much ice climbing anymore, but I still do trail runs once in awhile...Expand for more
, and get my energy out with raquetball and ultimate frisbee. I have lived long enough in Quebec to learn French (Aziza Baroody would be proud), and long enough in Mexico to speak Spanish (both at survival level, but bad enough that very rarely has anyone mistaken me for a local!). I have kept in touch with a few friends, but am wondering about a few others. My work focuses on the environment, and I am an active Christian. Hope to hear from/see some of you in the future, and blessings to all!
