Steven's Story
Life
After graduating I joined the Wash. Air National Guard and went to Wideband Radio school at Keesler Air Force Base in Miss for 6 months. When I returned home to Spokane I went to work at Lippencott Industries. I married Annette Black in 1980. After a year of repairing telephones I went to the Copy Shop and started working on copy machines. In 1981 I moved to Reno, Nv to work for another copier dealer and transfered to the Nevada ANG. At the same time I changed my ANG career field to Avionics Maintenance and started working on RF-4C Aircraft. I worked my way from copier technician to Purchasing Manager at my new job until they went out of business in 1992. I divorced Annette in 1988 and remarried Katherine Fiechtl in 1990. rrot named Cory. When My company closed I decided to start my own business. We opened Sierra Imaging in 1992 servicing copy machines and selling toner. Since then we have grown and now sell all new copiers, printers, & fax machines. My current position with the ANG is Special Projects NCO for the Commander, 152 Civil Engineer Squadron, 152 AW. I served a 4 year tour as a First Sergeant but was promoted out of that position to SMS, E-8 in 1999. Sierra Imaging received the US Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Enterprise Award in 2000 and I was elected to the Sparks, NV Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in Jan 2001. I have three Associates degrees, still working on a BS. I am also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer but I don't focus on network support, I much prefer talking to people than computers.
