Steve's Story
Went to University of Oklahoma on NROTC scholarship to study Meteorology. Started off number 1 in my midshipman class my freshman year and then discovered a social life. From that point on, NROTC and I DID NOT GET ALONG! Grudgingly stuck with the NROTC thing and was stationed in Rota, Spain. Got married after 6 months in Spain to an Oklahoma girl. Navy moved me from Spain to New Orleans for my last 2 years in the Navy. Would have gone to Antartica if it hadn't meant that I would miss the birth of my daughter. Glad I didn't go.

Stayed in Oklahoma City so I could be near my daughter. Became a computer programmer for the state of Oklahoma. Earned my Master's Degree and Oracle certification in the meantime. Tried my hand at being a contractor for the Air Force - HATED IT. After my third lay-off as a contractor, I found the best job I've ever had right across the street from my house at Oklahoma City University where I am Assistant Director for Human Resouces Information Systems. I am partnered now for 4 years. We enjoy travelling and snow skiing - Whistler, BC and Jackson, WY most recently.
