Graduated and went to the University of Alabama (Birmingham) for a brief period of time, before withdrawing and experiencing life a bit. Joined the army and, after completing the medical training program at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, was assigned to the 101st Airborne with the 86th Combat Support Hospital. After my army service, I accepted a position with a bank and was a banker for a few years. I completely changed careers and left my office and secretary for the life of a police officer. Retired from law enforcement after 21 years as a police officer and undercover SVU detective. I was the negotiating and arresting officer of The Clairemont Killer in San Diego, California, a serial killer featured on FOX's "America's Most Wanted," Investigation Discovery's "Unusual Suspects," Discovery Channel's "New Detectives," and TruTV's "Murder in the Afternoon" and The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Wikipedia, et al. I served as a Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, and Riot Team Member and was the undercover officer arresting a Fugitive from Justice on Canada's Most Wanted.
