Life
Wife Kris (married 8/4/84)

Been a career and geographic nomad until the last few years. Now setting down roots in the Twin Cities. Built and still living in our home in Rogers (longest I've been in one place since leaving home).
Very active in local community and school committees and events. In 2000 started a new youth basketball association for the Rogers area. Still active in coaching and as the founding member of a board of directors of a youth basketball program (rayba.org).
Kids are doing well and growing fast. Katie got her license and first car few years ago and Anna has her permit this year. Kris has full time job and running a small company on the side, so she's busy. Have traveled the world and always nice to come back home again.
Lately resolving any signs of a midlife crisis by getting back into motorcycles. Yearly winter bike trips to warmer climates help break the winter blues and provides a chance to hop on a cycle again.

North Dakota State for one year plugging through pre-engineering courses. Left the prairie for St. ...Expand for more
Cloud State University with little in way of plans. Through luck, kismet, fate found a major after a couple of years. Interned in Los Angeles summer of '83 and knew I wanted to return to west coast. Graduated SCSU winter '84.
Now it's all just a few lines on the resume as what I do today has little to do with the earned degree. But that's a good thing, I think!
Workplace
Graduated ... opened new sales remote office in SF Bay Area ... worked as field engineer ('84 - '88 photo/graphics) ... moved back to MN after Katie's birth ... supervised new customer support dept ('88 - '91 photo) ... managed field service/customer service/parts dept ('91 - 95 manufacturing) ... became a project manager ('96 - 98 software development) ... became principle consultant ('98 - '00 project management and business analyst) and moved up to relationship manager (pseudo sales / consultant role). Started my own consulting company as the direct result of the dot com bust('01).
Was hired on as the Cheif Information Officer at First National Financnial Services in Elk River, MN.
In 2008 I was hired to be the business development manager for an information security and business continuity consulting company (assurityriver dot com).
