Steve's Story

Life Have two kids both are grown up and living on there own. My daughter Leslie is in Afghanistan now as a Contractor but on temp duty in Iraq to assit them to redeploy and tranfer equipment out of theatre. My son is in the US Air Force station in Georgia. He currently is also in the middle east but should be rotaing back Georgia in a few weeks. The wife and I am very proud of their accomplishments and there drive and determination to be the best at what they do in life and in the work place. We have always strive to teach them to set goals- short term, mid term and long term and as long as you stay focus to what you are trying to achieve nothing is out of your reach. Now my daughter is a Logistical Analyst III in Afghanistan and my son is a Level 5 Turbine propulsion jet engine mechanical technician who also recieved a promotion in Sept. Congrats. For my wife and I we live in Texas, this is our home for life. We both love the open valleys as far as you can see with foothills all around. The dry weather where humidity is usually ...Expand for more
kept at a low. This years though with no rain drought has been an issue but hopefully soon we will see rain. We also love the great two steppin concerts they put on here in the Great State of Texas. I am retired from the US Army, an Iraq Veteran and a conservative at heart. I still work on Fort Hood but now as a civilian as a Senior Logistical Analyst and Site Supervisor on Fort Hood. My wife works at Social Services on Fort Hood . We love to travel and go to Colorado and Las Vegas every year. As a matter of fact we just returned from Vegas last week May 2011 to celebrate our adult kids birthdays. We went to the TAO club at the Venetian and stayed till 4 AM. That just reminded me I am not as young as I used to be but had great time with family and friends. 1st week of Oct we plan to get out of the house and stay at the Hyatt by the Colorado River in Austin Tx beautiful scenery, and have a river boat dinner and relaxing weekend away from home. Life is great we try our very best to enjoy it to the fullest It sure is a wonderful life
