Steve's Story

Spending too little time with my sons & wife, but spoil them when we're together. We're busy and on the go most of the time, but we love our Blu-Ray movies and theatre room, too. Extremely proud of my wife, Joan... she went back to school for her MHA, is making a 3.9 GPA and almost finished. She's a Chef and Real Estate agent, so she makes her boys wonderful meals and can spot a great buy on houses. Boys are Chad, 10 and Steven-Cole, 4. They're boys! Growing up faster than weeds. It's amazing to watch them grow up and learn. They've both been playing golf with me since they could stand up. Chad isn't into golf, he likes building stuff, collecting coins, video games, and Tae Kwon Do. Steven-Cole is like mini-me. He likes doing stuff with Dad (video games, reading, coloring, golf and Tae Kwon Do). Not enough visits to see family in SE KS & NW AR. Enjoying some pretty cool vacations with them. Took mom & dad with us to our timeshares in Winter Park, CO, Miami Florida, and Taos. If they'd get their passports, they could come with us to Mexico, too. Work too much & travel a lot all over N Am and Europe...Seeing the world... one chemical / polymer plant at a time (some corporate offices are in nice locations NYC, Frankfurt, London, Toronto, Calgary, LA, San Diego, Atlanta). Checking off my list of MUST see sporting events... 10 down, 18 to go. Recovering from torn ACL. Did it at my oldest son's baseball practice throwing a pop fly. ...Expand for more
Just landed wrong... POP... never thought it would happen to me. Getting older. Playing golf whenever possible. I always wanted to be a professional golfer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a long-shot idea. As it turns out, they were right, but I take customers out to play golf regularly, so I'm still getting paid to play golf. Hanging out with my H-town friends at poker night. Taking Tae Kwon Do with my sons. Went to Coffeyville CC, then KU, then to Baylor College of Medicine. Phi Phi K A - - if you know what I mean. Decided not to be a doctor as it wouldn't allow time for golf. Stayed in Houston (and surrounding suburbs), but also lived in Cincinnati. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the swimming pool (make it bigger) and add on a putting green. My dream home would be closer to the country club. Would love to see LCHS science teachers again. Yes, I'm still a chemistry nerd. Would like to see Mr. McKoskey (drafting teacher) If I won $100 million, I'd give 50% of it to charity, then spend the rest on life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Huge collection of golf shirts, some business suits, and lots of neck ties... haven't bought jeans in 10 years! Won a few golf tournaments since college, playing well now, so I'm playing in US and State ameteur events and Houston City Championship. In 10 years, I hope to be CEO. I'm going to get there by keep doin' what I'm doin', maybe add an MBA.
