After graduating, I went to Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) for 4 years and completed my BS in Mechanical Engineering and Space Sciences. My parents stayed at Hahn AFB (remember, I was a ¿dormie¿ at Wiesbaden) while I went to college in the states, so I got to fly back SpaceA once a year for 2 years to romp around Germany my Freshmen and Sophmore summers, which was a blast. My Dad retired and transferred stateside (Eglin AFB, FL). After completing by BS in Florida, I then moved to Durham, NC, and completed my MS and PhD at Duke University. I taught Engineering for a semester at Duke before moving up to Gaithersburg, MD for 4 years, working as an R&D director at Semix/Solarex Corp., one of the last independent solar cell manufacturing companies not bought out by big oil companies.
