Steve's Story

Inventor, lawyer, photographer. Marina del Rey, California. Office/studio boat. Happy. Injured People Are My Priority Dear Friends, A friend was riding her bicycle with right of way was hit by a car and sustained a myriad of injuries. She called me from the scene. The police had refused to come take an accident report because she had refused an ambulance. She had no health insurance and was afraid of the ambulance and emergency room bills. I rushed to her side, checked her condition, and helped her into my vehicle. She could not raise her left arm laterally, which made me suspect shoulder tendon tear. She apparently suffered subluxations to her cervical and thoracic spine, road rashes to the left forearm and hand, bruises to knees and thighs, as well as swollen right knee and ankle. I took information from the car driver, photographed the scene and car, and loaded her bike into my SUV. At her request, I drove her to her chiropractor. On the way, I informed her that her health care, police investigation, and financial recovery would all increase if she took an ambulance to an ER. I explained that her fear of bills was unfounded. Ambulance bills are well worth the speedy care, police report, and ER priority. An injured party usually does not pay for an ambulance. Quite to the contrary; an ambulance bill usually helps put more money into the victim's pocket. Her chiropractor also suggested an ambulance to the ER, to which she finall...Expand for more
y agreed. I called 911 and photographed the paramedics examining her. I followed the ambulance. A Los Angeles Police Department officer took a report at the ER from both of us. I attended to my friend in the emergency room, got her water and other things to make her as comfortable as possible, photographed her injuries, sling, and bandages, successfully advocated for x-rays, spoke with the ER doctor about her shoulder, took her out for food, and drove her home. I got home that night five hours after her initial phone call. I went to her home the next day and photographed the progress of her injuries. I associated in a top-notch lawyer to work on the insurance claims. He and I got $250.000.00 for another friend's shoulder injury last year. The next day, I drove my friend to that associated lawyer's office in Brentwood. After driving her home, I photographed her developing bruises and swelling again as well as her bicycle. These photos are evidence that will demonstrate her injuries later when she appears physically recovered and we are fighting for a reasonable financial recovery from a tight fisted insurance company. Her doctors will better be able to diagnose her injuries with ER x-rays and photos. I am delighted that my friends call me when they are injured. My spiritual life is lifted when I can help someone who is hurt. Please put my cell phone number 310-422-9074 into your cell phone just in case. Your Friend, Steve Chelski
